With a 13 mile left, left and left again route around the quiet lanes of Willingiam by Stow, the three support teams have tested the change over techniques that will keep a constant speed during next months 3000 mile race.
Averaging 90 miles for each 5 hour period, the three support teams swapped from follow car to support car to home base, while the four riders concerntrated on keeping a constant and competitive speed.
Starting at 9pm Friday, we raced through the night, finishing at 5pm on Saturday. While navigation and traffic scenarios were not tested, we quickly became experts in the swift change over techniques that will keep ourselves ahead of the game.
Next month's adventure is now a reality, and I feel confident we are able to compete at a professional level.
