There are 52 time stations dotted along the route where you need to dial in and log your time to the RAAM officials. A time station can vary from a magnificent gazebo with food vouchers, internet access and fresh water to a sticker on a power line.
Generally they are manned outposts managed by volunteers who provide the route changes and race updates.
